Who are Joaquin Buckley and Mike Malott?
Buckley (21-8), 32, comes in on two straight decision losses, to Kamaru Usman and then Sean Brady, who both outwrestled him. They ended a six-fight winning streak at welterweight that included finishes of Stephen Thompson and Colby Covington.
Malott (14-2-1), 34, is on four straight wins, the first of them in Edmonton in November 2024. The latest, in April, came by third-round TKO against Gilbert Burns, in his first UFC main event.
What else is worth watching on the card?
In the co-main event at flyweight, American Erin Blanchfield, ranked No. 4, faces Canada's Jasmine Jasudavicius, No. 6. Both have lost to France's Manon Fiorot: Blanchfield on the scorecards in March 2024, Jasudavicius by first-round TKO in October 2025. Both also won on the previous Edmonton card, Blanchfield against Rose Namajunas.
Quebec's Marc-Andre Barriault, 36, meets Kyle Daukaus at middleweight. He earned Fight of the Night in each of his last two outings, and lost both.
